Dr. Elaine O’Brien is a positive psychology expert, movement scientist, keynote speaker, and wellbeing consultant — helping people and organizations flourish through the power of movement, play, character strengths, and purpose. Based in Ocean Grove, New Jersey — conveniently located between Philadelphia and New York City, working globally.
She holds a PhD in Human Movement Psychology from Temple University and a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) from the University of Pennsylvania — among the first people globally to hold both. She was acknowledged by Dr. Martin Seligman, founder of Positive Psychology, in his landmark book

She was acknowledged by Dr. Martin Seligman, founder of Positive Psychology, in his landmark book Flourish (2011), and she served as a recitation leader for Dr. Angela Duckworth’s Introduction to Positive Psychology course at Penn.
Over three decades of teaching, researching, writing, speaking, and leading, she has worked with tens of thousands of people across organizations, universities, healthcare settings, and communities — from corporate wellness programs to aqua fitness classes, from university lecture halls to international conference stages in Madrid, Dublin, and beyond.
